eFoil prices in Ibiza 2026: what you should actually pay

eFoil pricing in Ibiza is quoted in a deliberately confusing way. One operator's "from

€120" and another's "€190" can be the same amount of money, or one can be twice the other.

Here is what the numbers actually mean.

The three things that make a cheap quote expensive

1. Is the instructor included, or is it board hire?

This is the big one. A €120 quote is often the board on its own — you are expected to

already know how to ride. If you have never eFoiled, board-only hire is not a cheaper

version of a lesson, it is a different product, and you will spend the hour swimming.

Ask directly: "Is an instructor with me for the whole hour, or just the briefing?"

2. Is it actually an hour on the water?

Some "one hour" sessions include the briefing, kitting up and the walk to the water. That

can be 15 minutes of your hour gone before the board is wet. Ask whether the clock starts

when you get there or when you get in.

3. What is the deposit and damage policy?

An eFoil costs around €12,000. Some operators take a card pre-authorisation of €500–€1,500

against damage. That is not unreasonable, but it is real money held on your card during

your holiday, and it should not be a surprise at the beach.

Why the half day is not double the hour

Because the cost that scales is the instructor, not the board. Once the instructor is with

you for four hours, the marginal cost of the extra hours falls, and the price reflects it —

€163/hour instead of €190.

There is also a practical ceiling worth knowing about: **eFoil batteries run roughly two

hours of riding and take about two hours to charge.** A genuine full day therefore means

the operator is rotating boards or batteries. If someone quotes you eight continuous hours

on one board, they are either swapping batteries or they have not thought it through.

Two riders, one hour

If there are two of you, sharing an hour usually works better than booking two. You swap

every ten minutes or so, which gives your forearm a rest — the throttle hand tires long

before your legs — and watching the other person fall in is genuinely half the entertainment.

Ask about the rate for a shared session rather than assuming you need two bookings.

Is it worth it against the alternatives?

A jet ski hour in Ibiza runs €120–180 and a Seabob €100–150. The eFoil looks like the

expensive option until you notice what you are buying: an hour with an instructor, versus

an hour with a machine. We covered this properly in

Why is eFoiling more expensive than a jet ski?

Two reasons. The equipment costs several times more, and every session needs a qualified

instructor one-to-one. A jet ski operator can put six people out with one guide. An eFoil

operator cannot.

Do I pay more for a sunset session?

Sunset slots are the most requested hour of the day, so they go first and we price them on

request depending on the season and the location. Book them further ahead than you think

you need to.

Is there a discount for booking several sessions?

Yes — the half day and full day rates are exactly that. If you want three separate hours

across a week rather than one long session, ask us; we would rather keep you riding than

have you book once.

What is not included?

Transport to the meeting point, and anything you break through genuine misuse. Normal wear,

falls and the usual beginner chaos are covered — that is what the insurance is for.
